Roberley Bell’s Closing Talk
The Westport Cultural Council is pleased to announce its first of three summer Westport Artist in Residence Program Closing Talks. On Thursday June 24th at 6 PM, artist in residence Roberley Bell will be speaking at the DeDee Shattuck Gallery about her latest iteration of Locus Amoenus, which takes on notions of ecosystems and conservation at Westport Woods Conservation Park (573 Adamsville Road). Bell’s installation includes a brilliantly painted ghost tree nestled within a chain link house. Visitors to the park are asked to participate by contributing a story of a tree they remember. These memories are written on colorful tags which hang on the tree.
Advance registration is not required for Bell’s Closing Talk this Thursday evening. The Dedee Shattuck Galley is located at 1 Partner’s Lane, Westport MA 02790.
