On Saturday October 15 at 9 AM: Join Jenn Mello of JC Wagmore All Natural Dog for a dog walk at the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area on Saturday, October 15 at 9 a.m., and learn more about dog etiquette on the trails at WLCT’s most iconic property. This walk is in partnership with DDAWG (Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group) and the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT).The 160-acre Herb Hadfield Conservation Area is arguably WLCT’s most visited property, in part because it is our only Destination Property with two parking lots and trail heads. Accessed from both Adamsville Road and Cornell Road, this property has hiking trails that bisect oak forests and mixed hardwood forests along pristine Angeline Brook, one of Westport’s finest coldwater streams. The walk will start from the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area parking lot at 255 Cornell Road at 9:00 a.m. Dogs must be on leash for this walk which will run approximately 90 minutes. Please bring water and dress appropriately for the day’s weather. Usually only the worst weather will cancel a WLCT walk. If the weather is questionable, check WLCT’s Facebook page, or call 508-636-9228 for cancellation information on the morning of the walk. For directions or further information, call WLCT at 508-636-9228 or visit WestportLandTrust.org.
