Constructed at or around 1850, the George Kirby House at 573 Adamsville Road is less than a season away from becoming the headquarters of the Westport Land Conservation Trust. An enigma for historians, the house is an amalgamation of past and present. Sheathed in white, wooden clapboards this stately residence was a camp counselors dormitory for much of the 20th century before renovations in the 1990s repurposed the space into offices for current Archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley.
