To the over 300 individuals and families who participated in the 1,000 acre campaign,
Westport Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) recently completed a five year campaign to protect 1,000 acres across Westport. Over 300 individuals and families participated in the campaign. We had donors as young as seven years old and old as 98 making gifts from $10 to $1 million. We had individual donors, foundations, and groups of families and friends coming together to honor their loved ones. Each and every gift mattered. Each and every person who supported this Campaign mattered. You ALL helped WLCT preserve Westport’s rural character. Today, we thank all of you who invested in Westport. For preserving land today, and for securing a future for WLCT to care for this land. Because of you 1,000 acres have been protected including 536 acres of forest habitat and 8 miles of water bodies, 3 protected farms resold to farm families, and 10 miles of trails created!
