WLCT is excited to announce our 2024 Artist in Residence, Rob Greene.
Rob will be installing a large-scale installation at Westport Woods during the month of June.
Rob has an affinity for wood and the wooded landscape that surrounds us here. Rob says of himself, “I am artist with one foot in the studio and one foot outside in the mud. I work in a variety of mediums creating pieces for the gallery, site specific and outdoor installations. The material I am most drawn to is wood. I consider wood to be a familiar and warm material. It can be rendered and shaped in countless ways or left natural to express the already inherent beauty and characteristics it possesses.”

You can read more about Rob’s work and see examples of his indoor sculpture as well as many of his site specific landscape installations on his website.
The Artist in Residence program would not be possible without funding from the Westport Cultural Council and the Helen E. Ellis Trust Grant, administered by the Bank of America. Thank you for supporting public art!
