Shadow Drawing at Westport Woods

Transform the natural landscape into a canvas for artistic expression.

The sun low in the sky makes long, sharp shadows. Take a walk at Westport Woods and sketch or photograph the world at an angle. We’ll take a short walk outside of Kirby House and into the Discovery Garden, observe the changes in shadow in light at sunset, and use natural materials to sketch, add texture and depth, and find interesting shapes to draw in the outdoor setting.
