Celebrating Pollinators: Monarchs in the Garden

With the development of a brand-new pollinator garden around the Kirby House, Westport Land Conservation Trust has embodied the ethos of promoting pollinator populations by developing habitats for year-round insect visitors. This summer, we have seen a boon in pollinating visitors of all kinds.

This program will feature an examination of pollinating flying insects in general, and Monarch butterflies in particular! Join us as we examine the best conditions to bring butterflies, bees and other insects to the garden, how they use these plants, and what we can do to help create sustainable nurseries, residences, and sources of food for these important links in the ecosystem.
