Found Art & Story Hour: Snowballs

Join us at the Westport Woods Learning Center to do some wintertime crafting and create art with found objects. “Found objects [are] works of art in their own right,” according to the Museum of Modern Art, and have been used in a variety of artistic disciplines as mediums to evoke many different pieces and projections. We’ll use natural materials such as pinecones and acorns and craft with more conventional art materials like paint and glue.

This event is for kids aged 5-12, and younger participants may need a hand crafting their project. We’ll also have a readaloud of Lois Ehlert’s classic “Snowballs” to get us in a creative, cozy winter mindset.
