Full Moon Lantern Walk

On Sunday February 5th, join WLCT for a Full Moon Lantern-Making and Walk. February’s typically cold, snowy weather in North America earned its full moon the name Snow Moon. Storm moon and hunger moon are other common names. Make your own luminous lantern out of a recycled soda bottle and then take it along to for a full-moon walk. Let your imagination guide your design with multicolored tissue paper you will cut or tear and then glue to the bottles. The colors will glow when illuminated by a glowstick within. Together, our group will bring magical light to the winter night. Children welcome. We will have enough materials available for the first 20 participants who sign up. Donations appreciated to cover the cost of materials. After spending some time making lanterns and waiting for the sun to set we will head outside and walk a section of the Westport Woods under the moonlight.
