Registration for this event will enroll you in all four workshops.

Series description:

Hot or cold, sun or clouds, rain or snow, indoors or out  – there are great photo opportunities at this time of year, if you know how and when and where to look. We’ll explore those basic questions, as well as look at some special situations, such as night sky and macro photography, in this  series of four workshops.

But wait – there’s more –  for each session there will really be two workshops in one. The first half of each 90 minute session will be devoted to “taking” pictures and will cover basics, such as  subject, lighting, and composition. The second half of each session will be devoted to “making” pictures – particularly taking advantage of  the new AI editing features in the premier photo editor, Lightroom. (You can use the free version of Lightroom for these sessions.) It’s assumed everyone will go to the first half of the session – but only those who want to learn the sophisticated editing provided by Lightroom will stay for the second half of the session. One registration covers both sessions, and it’s free!

All are welcome, no matter what your skill level. We will put an emphasis on phone camera use, but really you can use any camera. However, the free version of Lightroom can only be used on a phone or tablet. Lightroom offers a free trial of the desktop version, but that’s good for just seven days. Most of the time, I will be demonstrating with an iPhone 14 Pro Max for both the “taking” and “making” portions. As with similar workshops, you will get assignments to be carried out during the week at your convenience, and you will be encouraged to post your images for critical comments to a private Facebook Group just for those who have registered for these workshops.
