Tree/Plant Identification Walk
Join Nate McCullin, WLCT’s Stewardship manager and native plant expert, on a walk around Westport Woods (573 Adamsville Road) on Monday July 18th starting at 11am.
Nate will lead an introductory level identification walk focusing on 10 or so Trees, Shrubs, and Plants that are common around Westport. Nate will provide some tips for categorizing, and share the different purposes the plants provide to the ecosystems.
The rest of the week stop by Westport Woods to put your knowledge to the test at the Tree Identification Pop Up Tent. The Tent will be set up from July 18th-24th in view of the parking lot, with a volunteer stationed there on Tuesday and Thursday to help with any questions.
Please bring protection from bugs/ticks and wear comfortable walking shoes.
