Winter Tree Care
Join staff member Nate McCullin to learn about what you can do during the
winter months to ensure your trees and shrubs enter spring in their best
physiological and structural shape. We will discuss nutrient and soil
management, disease and insect control, proper structural and aesthetic
pruning techniques and some lesser known topics like winter desiccation
and root flare identification and excavation. We will also touch on the right
tools and products to use for each task. The first portion of the class will be
held inside with the second half spent in the field doing hands-on
