WLCT Behind the Scenes Part 1
This year we are going to be offering a “WLCT behind the scenes” series of programs hosted by Executive Director Ross Moran focusing on the many different elements of conservation and preservation. How does WLCT conserve land? What land is important to preserve? How do you connect with landowners? What does it take to provide public access and make the connection to land for the community? We often hear many of these questions and want to invite you to join us to learn more.
In the first behind the scenes look, we’ll explore the process WLCT goes through to identify, evaluate, and prioritize land for preservation. Our tradition is routed in working with willing landowners who seek to preserve the “best of Westport.” So what is the “best of Westport,” it may include ecological significance, threatened species, water quality, recreation opportunities, agriculture or cultural significance. Join us to learn more!
