This Spring we’re planting a new garden at Westport Woods which we hope will inspire visitors to learn about plants’ roles in our larger ecosystems and relationship to wildlife by connecting it to the fun of backyard horticulture.
March is For Mowing Meadows
WLCT maintains several meadows, all at different stages of growth. Mowing in March allows for optimal growth of the grasses and attention to small mammals and birds that rely on the meadows.
