Mill Pond Conservation Area provides a unique experience among our destination properties
62 Reed Road · 8 acres · 0.25 miles of trails
Mill Pond Conservation Area provides a unique visitor experience. An orchard adjacent to the parking lot was established by volunteers in 2015. When these trees mature, they will provide holistically grown apples, peaches and pears for visitors. A trail winds through the orchard, providing a beautiful outdoor experience that includes ample open space for gathering. An additional trail climbs a small ridge behind the meadow and drops down to the bank of the Westport River. Remnants of an old mill dam are a popular attraction. This land was generously donated by Dorothy Sang in 2007.
