Thank YOU for Your Support in 2021

To our amazing community:

On behalf of the entire WLCT team we want to thank YOU, the supporter, volunteer, patron and advocate, for your tremendous support in 2021. Your generosity and passion for open space in Westport is unrivaled. We are so grateful and excited as we begin 2022!

YOUR contributions helped keep the trails open in 2021 as we continued to experience all-time high visitation. Westport is a special community and WLCT is honored to provide high-quality opportunities to connect with the outdoors. Thanks to your support, WLCT has been able to meet the challenge of continuously improving your experience on the trails while also continuing to preserve Westport’s special places.

A special shout out to the volunteers who provided over 3,000 hours of work in 2021. Whether it be on the trails, in the office, serving on governance, or facilitating a program – you are the foundation of WLCT.

I would also like to thank the many partner organizations that supported our work, including the Town of Westport, the Buzzards Bay Coalition, the Westport Historical Society, the Westport River Watershed Alliance, and many more.

We will be increasing our efforts to provide access to Westport’s unique natural resources this year with the expansion of trails at Herb Hadfield Conservation Area and a new 1,000-foot accessible trail at Westport Woods. We hope you get outside soon and enjoy all Westport has to offer.

If you would like additional information about our conservation work please reach out to a staff member to learn more. Also, please follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Join us for another exciting year in 2022!

Sincerely,

Ross Moran
