The Westport Land Conservation Trust, Inc. will hold
its 53rd Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 22nd at 5:30pm
at the Westport Grange (931 Main Road)


WLCT is proposing Amended & restated Bylaws

WLCT Governance Committee has spent over a year examining best practices in modern non-profit bylaws. As a result, WLCT is proposing updates to meet realities unimagined when the Bylaws were created.

Copies of the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws can be emailed or mailed to you. Please contact Ross if you have questions.


The business meeting will begin at approximately 5:45pm with reports from the President, Executive Director, and Treasurer. A copy of the Annual Meeting Agenda can be found here.

The meeting will start with a reflection on the previous years’ work including:

  • Expansion of Westport Woods and other land preservation projects
  • Meadow restorations and farmland rehabilitation
  • Expanded educational programs

After a reflection on the past year, we will preview the upcoming year, including:

  • Strategic plan highlights
  • Current land preservation projects
  • Stewardship projects
  • New land connection initiatives

The WLCT Governance Committee will present candidates to the Board of Directors for membership consideration (see below) and recognize outgoing Directors.

Our business meeting will conclude with a recognition of WLCT members lost in the past year.

We’ll conclude with light refreshments and time to socialize.

The WLCT Board of Directors will hold a brief meeting to elect officers for the coming year prior to Annual Meeting.

All are welcome to attend, however only WLCT members may vote.
