Citizen Science Survey Series: Pollinators in Spring

Join WLCT for a citizen science survey of the blooming pollinator garden at Kirby House!

This spring, we are keeping a careful eye on the Baptisias, Asclepias and many other native pollinators that grow around the campus of Westport Woods. This new pollinator garden embodies the ethos of promoting pollinator populations by developing habitats for the year-round insect visitors to the garden.

In this program. we will examine the early visitors to the garden; join us as we examine the best conditions to bring butterflies, bees and other insects to the garden, how they use these plants, and what we can do to help create sustainable nurseries, residences, and sources of food for these important links in the ecosystem.
