Westport Land Conservation Trust is pleased to formally open their 10th Destination Property: Camara Conservation Area on South Watuppa Pond. Purchased in 2014 with support from the Town of Westport’s Community Preservation Fund, the 43-acre Camara Conservation Area is permanently conservation restricted land open to passive public recreation.

With a half mile of trails to traverse, Camara Conservation Area is an important wildlife corridor and water quality buffer for South Watuppa Pond and its southernmost tributary Stony Brook, the primary source of freshwater exiting Sawdy Pond.
