Ongoing Programs
WLCT opened Westport Woods Conservation Park in 2020. Ongoing programs utilize the accessible pathways and cultivated native gardens to further engage visitors.
Learning Center
Located inside historic Kirby House at Westport Woods Conservation Park, the Learning Center houses educational resources and is the hub of land connection activities. Here you can grab a trail guide and an Explorers Pack, find out what’s new on the trails, or learn more about our monthly spotlight.

Nature’s Stage
A series of free, interactive performances within the natural setting of Westport Woods, this program uniquely blended the arts with environmental appreciation. The concerts fostered curiosity, strengthened community bonds, and encouraged children to develop a lasting connection with nature.
Nature’s Stage is made possible by a 2025 grant from the Westport Cultural Council and the generous support of the Helen E. Ellis Trust.

Artists in Residence
Since 2021, WLCT has hosted artists who immerse themselves in the landscape of Westport Woods to create public installations for visitors to enjoy. Designed to be impermanent, many of these installations are still in place, inviting visitors to see the natural and built landscapes in new ways.
The Artist in Residence Program is made possible by the Westport Cultural Council and the generous support of the Helen E. Ellis Trust.
