Trail Explorers: Naturalist Walk at Old Harbor

Date: May 30, 2024
Time: 5:30-6:30pm
Location:
Old Harbor Wildlife Refuge
386 Old Harbor Road, Westport MA

WLCT is pleased to present this three-part series of sensory-based walks, in which visitors are invited to slow down, walk in silence, get in touch with the senses, and deepen our connection with the animate natural world. This series of mindful walks, led by Valerie Bassett, chair of WLCT’s Land Connection Committee and trained as a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide Level I, will invite an awakened awareness and refreshed perception of the sights, sounds, smells and tactile sensations of the world around us. We hope you will join us at this engaging program at Westport Woods. Recommended for people over 16 and/or those who can comfortably maintain silence for the duration of the experience. You can participate in one, two, or all of the three-part series.
