Understanding Richmond Pond

Richmond Pond is a barrier salt pond tucked into the far West corner of Westport. Learn more about this important ecosystem–the birds and fish that call it home and how WLCT is stewarding the pond and its environs.

Executive Director Ross Moran will lead this approximately one-hour walk.

Details

What to expect:

  • A walk of approximately one hour across the beach and into the pond edge

What to wear & bring:

  • Sturdy, waterproof footwear
  • Wind/waterproof outerwear

Restrictions

  • This is a Member Appreciation Program. A member is any individual or household who makes a philanthropic gift of $25 or more to the Westport Land Conservation Trust, at any point during the year.
  • No dogs

Parking:

  • Parking and additional information will be sent a few days before the program
