We are extremely excited to welcome back Marcia and Mark Wilson on Saturday March 12th at 3pm. We are thrilled to bring the Eyes On Owls event in a virtual format, and hopefully next year we will return to a live show together again.

The virtual program will give you a front row introduction to the different owls that you would find throughout New England.

Snowy Owl in winter scene

You will meet 6 different Owls including New England’s tiniest owl, the Northern Saw-Whet Owl, weighing in at only 4 ounces. Along with a Screech Owl, who gets its name from their distinctive high pitched call. Like the Northern Saw-Whet Owl, the Screech Owl nests in cavities or holes in a tree, and will even use an owl box. They will also feature a snowy owl. These majestic white and black spotted birds only nest up in the Arctic tundra of Canada and Alaska, but a few will migrate down to New England usually starting November.

Everyone will be able to practice a few owl hoots and will learn about the owl’s unique adaptations, habitats and behaviors in the wild. Finally, Mark and Marcia will share tips on how you can look for owls yourself.

Don’t miss out on the chance to meet and learn about some of the most elusive wildlife in our New England forests.
Register for the event here before March 11th
